Shanghai Disneyland Transitioned to a New Reservation Phase Starting August 24, 2020

Effective August 24, 2020, Shanghai Disneyland transitioned the Advanced Reservation Period to a new reservation phase, aiming to provide more flexibility for guests to plan and enjoy their park visit. To comply with regulatory directives, all guests, including Shanghai Disneyland Annual Pass holders and infants under 3 years old or under 1.0 meter in height, are still required to make a reservation by submitting their visitation date and personal information to obtain a Shanghai Disneyland Reservation QR Code prior to their arrival at the park’s Main Entrance.

Shanghai Disneyland Diamond Annual Pass, Gold Annual Pass and Silver Annual Pass Holders

As of August 24, 2020, Shanghai Disneyland Annual Pass (Diamond Annual Pass, Gold Annual Pass and Silver Annual Pass) holders are no longer required to obtain a visitation spot or choose the arrival time of their visit in advance. The procedures for Annual Pass (Diamond Annual Pass, Gold Annual Pass and Silver Annual Pass) holders to visit the park are as follows:
  • Annual Pass holders are able to visit the park on any day falling under their eligible dates on the up-to-date Shanghai Disneyland Annual Pass Calendar for different Pass types*;
  • Annual Pass holders need to make a reservation by submitting their visitation date and personal information through the resort’s official online platforms to obtain a Shanghai Disneyland Reservation QR Code prior to their arrival at the park’s Main Entrance;
  • They can arrive and enter the park at any time during the park’s announced hours of operation on their selected visitation date;
  • Annual Pass holders can view a 90-day reservation calendar, allowing more flexibility to plan their visit and offering same day visit reservation.
  • Annual Pass holders will be provided with one reservation per visit per pass, and a new reservation will be able to be made once the current one is redeemed, cancelled or expired.
Starting from the first day of the new phase on August 24, 2020, the validity period of Annual Passes that were impacted by the park closure and Advanced Reservation Period have been extended as follows:
  • For Annual Passes that were purchased before the park’s closure date of January 25, 2020 and still valid on and after January 25, 2020, the validity period was extended for 212 days (the total number of impacted days from January 25 to August 23, 2020), starting from the original expiration date of each such Annual Pass;
  • For Annual Passes that were purchased on or after January 25, 2020, but before or on August 23, 2020, the validity period only started on August 24, 2020.

Diamond Pass, Gold Pass and Silver Pass holders New Reservation Procedures and Requirements

  • Shanghai Disneyland Annual Pass holders who have redeemed their Annual Pass are required to select a visitation date and fill out the Annual Pass number and associated government ID prior to their arrival at the park’s Main Entrance. Shanghai Disneyland Annual Pass holders who have not yet redeemed their Annual Pass can make a reservation for the date of their first visit by using their Annual Pass’s order number and the government ID number that was used to purchase the Annual Pass.
  • To make the first registration, Annual Pass holders who have not yet redeemed their Annual Pass need to fill out their personal information. The information submitted when redeeming the Annual Pass must match the information and the government ID number provided when making the first registration. In cases where the Annual Pass holder's personal information differs, the Annual Pass holder will not be allowed to enter the park. Annual Pass holders who have made a registration by using the order number must visit Shanghai Disneyland Main Entrance ticket booths to redeem their Annual Pass before entering the park.
  • Each reservation includes a maximum of 5 Annual Pass holders. If an accompanying guest is an infant under the age of 3 years old or with a height of 1.0 meter and below on the day of their visit, his/her name and government ID and the Annual Pass holder’s mobile phone number are required for advanced reservation. Once successfully registered, no adding, deleting, or changing of an Annual Pass holder is permitted. All Annual Pass holders under the same reservation must enter the park at the same time.
  • Each order number can only be used to make a reservation for the Pass holder’s first-time visit. If some Annual Pass holder(s) under the same order have already redeemed their Annual Pass or used the order number to make a reservation, but others under the same order have not yet made a registration or redeemed their Annual Pass, they must redeem their Pass on-site first, and follow the Annual Pass holder (redeemed) Reservation Procedures and Requirements.
  • Only one registration per visit per pass is permitted. Annual Pass holders are unable to register their next visit until the current one is redeemed, cancelled or expired. The reservation status of the accompanying infant who is under the age of 3 years old or with a height of 1.0 meter and below on the day of their visit must be the same as the Annual Pass holder.
  • The current reservation calendar for Annual Pass holders is 90 days. Starting October 26, 2020, at 13:00 every day, Annual Pass holders are able to check the reservation calendar for 90 days. Reservation is subject to the eligible dates for different Pass types on the up-to-date Shanghai Disneyland Annual Pass Calendar.
  • Guests under the age of 16 years old must be accompanied by a guest aged 16 or older in order to enter the park.

Crystal Annual Pass Reservation Rules and Procedures:

Crystal Annual Pass holders must make a reservation from the Reservation Days on the Shanghai Disney Resort Official Website (Click to register: https://shdr.cn/df ), App, Shanghai Disney Resort Official WeChat account or WeChat Annual Pass Mini Program, and a Shanghai Disneyland Crystal Annual Pass Reservation QR Code will be issued to Pass holders who have successfully made a reservation. Reservations are subject to the quota limits on each Reservation Day. Please refer to the Reservation Days on the up-to-date Shanghai Disneyland Annual Pass Calendar.

Crystal Annual Pass Reservation Procedures and Requirements are as follows:

  • Crystal Annual Pass holders who have redeemed their Annual Passes are required to fill out the Annual Pass number and associated government ID to reserve a date of visit through the resort’s official online platforms prior to their arrival at the park’s Main Entrance. Crystal Annual Pass holders who have not yet redeemed their Annual Pass can make a reservation for the date of their first visit by using their Annual Pass’s order number and the government ID number that was used to purchase the Annual Pass, and must visit the Shanghai Disneyland Main Entrance ticket booths or Guest Services to redeem their Annual Pass before entering the park.
  • The reservation window for the Crystal Annual Pass is 90 days. The reservation window will be updated at 13:00 on a daily basis.
  • Up to three successful reservations can be held by each Crystal Annual Pass holder within the 90-day reservation window.
  • Each reservation may include a maximum of five Crystal Annual Pass holders who are all required to provide their names, mobile phone numbers, Annual Pass numbers and associated government IDs through the same account. The Crystal Annual Pass cannot be used to make a group reservation together with other Annual Passes, including the Diamond Annual Pass, Gold Annual Pass and Silver Annual Pass.
  • If an accompanying guest is an infant under the age of 3 years old or with a height of 1.0 meter and below on the day of their visit (for whom no ticket is required), his/her name and government ID, and the Annual Pass holder’s mobile phone number are required to complete the reservation.
  • Once the group reservation is successfully completed, no adding, deleting, or changing of an Annual Pass holder is permitted. All Crystal Annual Pass holders under the same reservation must enter the park at the same time.
  • If there is a change of plan after a successful reservation, Crystal Annual Pass holders are able to change the reservation date or cancel their reservation 48 hours prior to 12:00am on the reserved visit day.
  • Pass holders are permitted up to five ‘no-show days’ within a 90-day window before penalties are applied. (Penalties will be waived in instances where force majeure becomes a factor). If a Pass holder has five ‘no-show days’ within a 90-day period, reservation access will be blocked for 30 days, starting from the day after the fifth “no-show”. However, reservations that have been made before penalties are applied are still valid for use.
  • Reservations are subject to availability. It is not guaranteed that Crystal Annual Pass holders will be able to successfully make a reservation each time.
  • Guests under the age of 16 years old must be accompanied by a guest aged 16 or older in order to enter the park.
*In accordance with existing Shanghai Disneyland attendance management policies, if a date is forecast to be a ‘high attendance day’ based on government guidelines on maximum capacity and should demand require such action, Shanghai Disneyland reserves the right to suspend the sale of all ticket products and block out all Annual Passes on that date. Communications will be made accordingly in a timely manner.
