Guests who held tickets to visit Shanghai Disneyland on September 13 and/or September 14, 2021 may choose to visit the park on any other day within the next six months (by March 13, 2022 inclusive with respect to park tickets for September 13, 2021; and by March 14, 2022 inclusive with respect to park tickets for September 14, 2021), and a reservation will not be required*. One-day tickets can be redeemed at the park entrance turnstiles with the original Government Identity Card or Travel Document that was used to purchase your tickets for September 13 and/or September 14, 2021 on the day of your next visit. For guests with two-day tickets, please proceed to the Guest Services windows located outside the turnstiles of Shanghai Disneyland’s Main Entrance with your original Government Identity Card or Travel Document on the day of your next visit.

If you cannot visit the park in the next six months, you can obtain a refund. For guests who have purchased their tickets through the Shanghai Disney Resort Official Website, App, WeChat Account, the Resort Reservation Center, the Resort Official Fliggy Flagship Store or Official Jingdong Flagship Store, you can request a refund through the resort’s official app, and you will obtain the refund through the original purchase channel within 45 working days. For guests who have purchased tickets through other official channels, please contact the original ticket purchase channel to request a refund, or follow the instructions at the end of this notice.

For Other Resort Products and Services
For guests who had purchased a Disney Premier Tour Service, Disney Concierge Service, Early Park Entry Pass or other dated products and services for Shanghai Disneyland on September 13 and/or September 14, 2021 through the Shanghai Disney Resort Official Website, App, WeChat Account, the Resort Reservation Center, the Resort Official Fliggy Flagship Store or Official Jingdong Flagship Store, you will obtain an automatic refund through the original purchase channel. For guests who have purchased a dated product and service through other official channels, please contact the original purchase channel to obtain a refund.

What is a Disney Standby Pass?

Disney Standby Pass is an innovative free online reservation tool launched by Shanghai Disney Resort to help guests reserve times to enter the queue line for popular attractions or entertainment shows. It can help reduce your physical wait time in attraction queues, and enhance your overall park experience.

The specific dates, time periods, attractions and entertainment whereby Disney Standby Pass applies will be adjusted based on operational needs. For the time period when Disney Standby pass is applicable, guests need to hold a Disney Standby Pass to enter the standby queue at corresponding attractions and entertainment experiences. Outside of these hours, Disney Standby Pass will not be required.

Disney Standby Pass will not necessarily be required every day or for every applicable attraction and entertainment. Please check the Official App and tap on “Get Standby Pass” under “Make Plans” to see if Disney Standby Passes are required on the day of your visit. 

How to get and use a Disney Standby Pass?

  • Step 1 – Download the Shanghai Disney Resort Official App before you arrive at the park and create your own account with your mobile phone number or email address.
  • Step 2 – After entering the park, open the Shanghai Disney Resort Official App, sign in and select “Get Standby Pass”, and scan the QR code on your park ticket.
  • Step 3 – Create a party in the App by linking your group member’s park tickets so you can enjoy the attractions and entertainment together using the same Disney Standby Pass return time. Ensure all members of your party have entered the park.
  • Step 4 – Select the attraction or entertainment you want to get a Disney Standby Pass for no extra charge.
  • Step 5 – Confirm the selection for your Disney Standby Pass.
  • Step 6 – To redeem, go to the Disney Standby Pass return entrance at the designated return time, and then show your QR code, found in “My Plan” on the App or the QR code on your park ticket.

Guests who do not have a smart phone or have other difficulties in obtaining Disney Standby Pass may get assistance at Guest Services locations throughout the park.

Disney Standby Pass Rules

  • Disney Standby Passes are linked to park tickets. Please always keep your park ticket secure.
  • Disney Standby Pass is subject to availability.
  • Disney Standby Pass is only valid on the day of issue and can only be redeemed during the time selected.
  • Disney Standby Pass does not provide immediate access to an attraction.
  • Guests with a Disney Standby Pass must enter attractions and entertainment via the designated Disney Standby Pass entrances. Everyone in the party must have their own Disney Standby Pass, which is linked to their park tickets.
  • At the Disney Standby Pass entrance of the attraction, a Cast Member will scan your park ticket to verify the visual identity of the park ticket holder.
  • Guests, including Annual Pass holders, cannot hold an additional Disney Standby Pass for the same attraction/entertainment experience before the original Disney Standby Pass is redeemed or expires.
  • Guests may cancel their confirmed and unused Disney Standby Pass at any time prior to the expiration of the validity time shown on the pass. Since Disney Standby Pass distribution is subject to availability, guests are not guaranteed to get a new Disney Standby Pass after such a cancelation.

    • As with all of our attraction wait times, this may vary based on attraction popularity, weather, and many other factors.
    • Upon returning with a Disney Standby Pass, guests will need to wait the approximate amount of time posted on the Official App and at the attraction entrance.
  4. Which attraction(s) or entertainment show (s) may require Disney Standby Pass?
    • Roaring Rapids – Adventure Isle
    • Peter Pan’s Flight – Fantasyland
    • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – Fantasyland
    • The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – Fantasyland
    • TRON Lightcycle Power Run – Tomorrowland

  5. Is Disney Standby Pass only available on the Official Shanghai Disney Resort App? If I don’t have a smartphone or are not able to download the App, what can I do?
    • The Official App is the most convenient way for guests to access Disney Standby Pass. Guests can also see a Cast Member at Guest Services for assistance if they do not wish to download the App or don’t have a smartphone, or are not able to download the App. Please see a Cast Member at any Guest Services location for assistance. The Main Entrance Guest Services is based just inside the entrance to Shanghai Disneyland. There are also Guest Services located within a short walking distance to all locations that have Disney Standby Pass.
  6. How do I use my Disney Standby Pass once I am at the attraction or entertainment entrance?
    • Please go to the Disney Standby Pass return entrance at the attraction or entertainment venue at the designated return time, and then show your QR code, found in “My Plan” on the App or the QR code on your park ticket.
  7. Can I cancel or change my reserved time?
    • Guests may cancel their confirmed and unused Disney Standby Pass at any time prior to the expiration of the validity time shown on the pass. Since Disney Standby Pass distribution is subject to availability, guests are not guaranteed to get a new Disney Standby Pass after such a cancelation.
  8. Can a Disney Standby Pass that is linked to my park ticket be used by someone else?
    • No, Disney Standby Pass cannot be transferred to another guest.
